First of all, the venue speaks for itself. It is gorgeous, decaent, tasteful and unique. My guests were in awe from the moment they pulled up the drive to the beautifully manicured gardens and elegant decor. I'm still getting compliments months later. Then on top of that, the service is stellar. Damien, my maitre'd, managed the event with such professionalism and ease all the while giving me the personal attention and preparation I needed. The planning process was remarkably smooth. Every call or email I put through to Melissa or any of the banquet staff were attend to within hours. I was living out of town for 7 out of the 16 months of my planning process and I was never stressed or concerned that things weren't being taken care of. I hope I can hold an event at the DeSeversky again someday. It was truly a magical evening.

The De Seversky Mansion was a dream come true. This historical landmark is elegant, beautiful, sophisticated, and breathtaking. Our guests had the most amazing time walking the grounds, eating the excellent food, and taking in the beauty of the mansion. This is a setting that would make any Bride and Groom feel elevated in their love. Gabrielle Dubey was our event planner. Our joyful experience at the mansion was because of the exceptional assistance of Gabrielle. Every question, concern, and desire was met with a genuinely kind representative who was more then happy to create the wedding celebration of our dreams.
De Seversky Mansion was my dream wedding venue. I knew I wanted a 'Gold Coast' mansion, and I looked all over Long Island to find the perfect place. De Seversky mansion was just that. We chose the 'mansion style' reception, which meant that dinner was served buffet style, and our guests were able to roam the rooms and property. It really felt like the mansion was my home for that day, and we were just having a huge, Gatsby-style party. My guests can't stop talking about how great it was. The staff was accommodating and attentive, especially Eric and Gabrielle. Even though they tried their best to talk me into having a 'first look,' they respected my wishes not to see the groom before the ceremony and took care to make sure everything went exactly how I wanted it. The food, I'm told by all my guests, was delicious. (Even though Damien, the matre-d', made up plates for me and my groom, we never quite found the time to eat). Someday I hope to attend a wedding there as a guest so I can enjoy it at a more leisurely pace!!
We had our wedding at the De Seversky Center in March of 2009. Everyone who works there is really amazing. The Matre'd was great at keeping everyone running smoothly and was really nice. We received a lot of compliments on the food, which was delicious, and the setting. It is rare to get married in a location where you are the only wedding taking place on a given night. It definitely gave us a more intimate feeling and we had a wonderful time!
