Danfords Hotel & Marina

AMAZING! We stayed two nights in the harbor view Suite in the captain's building and honestly we're treated like royalty our entire stay. The hotel staff was helpful and courteous our entire stay. Breakfast at the Wave Restaurant was very good and the price was fair, although we did wait a little longer for food. Dinner was delicious and drinks were well made! The atmosphere created through the recent Renovations is wonderful. The butterfly Salon and Spa was also amazing. We enjoyed one of the best massages I've ever had. Again the staff here was so incredibly hospitable and generous. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Port Jeff!

Danford's was exactly what we wanted for our reception and guests (Our ceremony was held elsewhere.) It is a hotel and reception site on the water. Being in cute Port Jefferson was just a bonus. Everything was perfect from the wedding coordination (Amy is amazing!!) to the hotel accommodations to the wait staff. We also had a morning-after breakfast. Everything was executed exactly as I requested. The food was great. The only thing bad is that the A/C does not work well in all the hotel rooms- so caution.

Danfords is professional, courteous and most of all understanding. They know the stress that is on a bride and they make a concerted effort to alleviate that stress. In addition to their understanding and support they are also flexible. They allow you the opportunity to customize your event so that it is exactly what you dreamed of. My husband and I love Danfords so much we have decided to make an effort to return every year for our anniversary.

Even though the planning process had some bumps the actual day of the event exceeded my expectations. The staff that worked the event was amazing. Stephanie, the banquet manager, and her team kept everything running smoothly with a smile on her face at all times. She is even in the background of some pictures literally always smiling. She and her team were professional yet warm and friendly. There is nothing they missed..

Perfection! That is how I would describe our experience at Danfords for our wedding on 06/03/17. Everything from the planning, food, our suite and of course the service. We had a small ceremony and reception, which both were held at Danfords. We never felt like our party was too small (28 total guests) for their attention. So cozy, so intimate. Lynn, the overall event coordinator and Daisy, our onsite coordinator that evening were so easy to work with and very attentive. The food was great and our guests were so well taken care of. I literally have no complaints. Wish I could do it all over again!!
