Photos of the Heart

We were referred to Photos of the Heart by both this site and our reception hall (Hamlet Windwatch Golf & Country Club). From the moment my husband and I met with Ives, we knew they were the photographer we wanted - they were the first and only photographer that we met with. Our first meeting was over 3 hours - sitting with Ives, discussing our wedding and his photography style. We glanced through numerous albums and loved everyone of them. Right from the start, we were very impressed with his professionalism and ethusiasm. The day of the wedding, Ives and his wife Debbie were a dream come true. They were the voice of calm in an otherwise crazy household. Ives is the photographer and Debbie poses the subject. Debbie has a way of making the bride feel absolutely beautiful and calm. Together, they have such a fantastic style that EVERY photo they took was a keeper. It took my husband and I four months to pick out our album photos, as everyone was spectacular. Ives captured every moment of our day perfectly - from the pre-wedding moments, to the ceremony, to the photographs at the Oakdale Cutting Yards Arboretum, to the reception itself. Debbie and ives are great. They truley care about making your special day magical. They have an amazing eye for detail that enables them to capture the best moments of your special day. We bought the digital album package, I higly reccomend it. Its modern style, and ability to customize the images on the pages, makes it possible for you to view your wedding day as an enchanted story. Photos of the Heart did all that we wanted as photographers - took amazing pictures for a great visual story, and allowed me and my new husband to be able to spend time with our friends and family. Ives and Debbie know how to stage great pictures - so that every one is a keeper - but they are also so great at getting everything done that we were even able to enjoy our cocktail hour! The picutres are fantastic - they really 'tell the story of the day' and will be great memories for generations!

If you are looking for the perfect wedding photographer, look no further. Ives helped us plan our wedding, helping us with other vendors and ensuring that everything went perfect. From the first meeting, we knew that this was the team we wanted to shoot our wedding photos. They caught every precious moment from our wedding. The hardest part was deciding which photos to use! If you are shopping around for wedding photographers, do yourself a favor and meet with Ives. I'm sure you will find that all the great reviews are true!

We loved our pics! Debbie and Ives were so great to work with - their attention to detail sets them apart from the others. Their passion for a great pic and own sense of romance come through. As soon as Debbie had us ready for the shot, Ives was ready to take the perfect pic. Practically speaking, working w/a team has an advantage to working w/just a single photographer who is trying to pose you and also then take the pic. We also had a second reception in EUR and we were able to give Ives that photographers films so his lab could develop them so the pics would be consistent. We ended up ordering the largest book possible and even then it was hard to decide which photos not to put in the album - they all came out so great. When we 1st saw the proofs it was such a great surprise too, to see how many candids he took since it certainly didn't feel that they were underfoot. They were also very creative in working with our surroundings so our pictures are also unique. Definitely best in class!
