I am struggling with how to do the invitations. Both of my parents and remarried AND my fiance's parents are also hosting. Is this acceptable?
Dr. David Mar (my dad) Mrs. Debra Jones (my mother) Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Murphy (fiance' parents) request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their children Erica Mar and Kevin Murphy on ..............
Is it weird to have 3 lines of hosts. Could I just combine my parents on one line -
Dr. David Mar & Mrs. Debra Jones Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Murphy request the honor of your presence...

Re: Invitation wording - divorced parents!!
Here are some examples that may help you out. The 1st one assumes that the mother has remarried and is using her new husband's name, though it could just as well be used if she had reverted to her maiden name, continued to use her former husband's name, or whatever (some people also include the bride's last name in this form, to avoid any possible confusion. Some people also omit the 'and' between the parents' names): EXAMPLE 1: Mrs. Jennifer Affleck Lopez and Mr. Benjamin Affleck request the pleasure of your company at the wedding of their daughter Julia Goolia to Matt Damon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Douglas on......
OR
One or both of the parents might also be hosting the wedding with their current spouse. In that case, the invitation might look like:
EXAMPLE 2: Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Mr. and Mrs. Justin Timberlake request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of Britney Lynne Spears to Marshall Mathers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Jackson on....
*I hope this helps. If you feel it is still too wordy, you could always opt to lose all their names completely and just use:'Together with our parents' or 'Together with our families blessings.'
Good luck, Laura--LA Productions- Port Jeff Station, NY (631)473-0271 or Laproductions5@yahoo.com

Re: Invitation wording - divorced parents!!
Hi --
In answer to your inquiry --
In light of the fact that your parents are divorced and remarried, it would not be an option to include them on the same line -- As far as the example that you provided, proper etiquette would dictate that the Mother of the Bride's name should really come first-- Although not really traditional but, all the same, quite popular and acceptable in today's climate would be--
'Together with our families' Bride's Name and Groom's Name invite you to share in our joy as we are united in Holy Matrimony or as we exchange Marriage Vows or request the honour of your presence or request the pleasure of your company Saturday, the nineteenth of April Two thousand and three at half after five o'clock St. Paul's R.C. Church New York, New York
Mr. and Mrs. Brides Mother and Stepdad Mr. and Mrs. Bride's Dad Mr. and Mrs Groom's Parents
Best of Luck with all and let me know if you have any further questions ----

Re: Invitation wording - divorced parents!!
Dear EBM7,
Hope this will help you - wedding etiquette indicates that it is perfectly fine to word your invitation as you have originally stated, or using the above examples that were given by my peers- ex.
Mrs Bride's Mom Mr. Bride's Dad and Mr and Mrs Groom's Parents request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their children etc.
The choice is up to you and how you wish to word it but they are all perfectly acceptable.
