RACHEL!! What a review!

But as we're walking around, we hear that the DJ has now played a half-dozen of the songs we've specifically requested, and now we've missed them. I asked the photographers if we can go back to our party now, but by the time we get back in, it's already too late, they're serving salad and everyone's sitting.

I remember this part You know I was completely willing to take her outside and show her a thing or two for making you cry. And I can't BELIEVE she didn't get any shots of your parent's spotlight dance!

But you know what? It doesn't matter. No photograph in the world could ever truly capture the beautiful sentiment behind it. The details of your wedding were so incredibly beautiful, thoughtful and sentimental, I'm sure not a single one of your guests will ever be able to forget it. I know I won't.

You and most of the Bridesmaids. Amber was ready to practice her Five-Star Frogsplash technique. If you read the captions on the site, Amber wrote most of the ones on the amateur pages - I love how she says 'Rachel gets down, once she actually gets to go to her own party'.

ANYWAY, sorry girls, stuff has come up that has prevented me from finishing, but I'll take some time to continue the review now.

Chateau Briand, The Day Of: A+++

There would've been more plusses if there hadn't been a few minor mishaps, that only I noticed. However, the biggest reason they get all those extra plusses is because They Extended My Party, free of charge!!!!!! They felt badly about how everything was running late, so they checked with the DJ Company (review forthcoming) who was doing the next party in Normandy anyway, so everyone agreed to extend our party. A member of management came and told me during the cocktail hour not to worry about the time, because they were taking care of it. Honestly, that was a HUGE relief for me, and it really helped me relax. The mishaps were: Leaving the glass on my sign in portrait, so that guests were signing glass, Not doing the ice sculpture I upgraded to (I didn't see it, nor did any guests, and it's not on the video or proofs, so I'm thinking it wasn't there), setting up their chuppah when I wanted to use my own (fixed quickly), and the cake was yellow, when it was supposed to be Marble. Oh, and they put the watermelon carved with the Yankees symbol in the reception room for some crazy reason. I have no clue why.

But the food was great, we were well attended to, and they extended my party so I'm happy happy. OH! And my signature dessert - Chocolate Mousse with a piece of Music Printed Chocolate in it was a HIT, and SOOOOOO delicious! I tried to get a picture, but it didn't come out so well. Still, *I* remember it, and it was awesome.

DJ - Bravo Sound - Ceremony Music A
Reception A+

Ceremony would've been an A+ except they played our recessional song too soon - I wanted a bit of Siman Tov (traditional Jewish Recessional) before we launched into the Beatles' All You Need Is Love. Incidentally, as that song begins with the first line of the French National Anthem, everyone was wondering why we'd had the French Nat. Ant. playing over our first kiss. My bridesmaids were all questioning each other (umm, are they French? How did we not know?).

Reception is an A+ because they threw in loads of extras for us (lights, giveaways), and extended the party no problem. ALSO, they played those missed half dozen songs over again for me towards the end of the night. I really appreciated that - It's something I would hate to do myself as a DJ. I can't stand to hear the same song at a party twice, and almost didn't let them do it, but everyone talked me into it, and I'm glad. My MC was AJ, and he's left for the south now, but I'd gladly put my party in Bravo's hands again.

Limos - Alexis Limousine - A+
Limos were clean and prompt, drivers were courteous and professional. We also used them for airport transportation for our Rabbi, who flew in from Baltimore that morning. No complaints, all okay!

Hair and Makeup - Princess Brides - A+++
Wendy Urban did my makeup, as well as two of the Bridesmaids and my Mom. I loved it, and I felt gorgeous! The girls also loved their makeup, and were beautiful. Mom looked great, but she wasn't crazy about how she looked. I think she was beautiful, so did Dad, and so did the rest of the girls.
Taralei did my hair, and she brought an assistant. Between the two of them they did an awesome job! It's a big shame that Taralei's no longer doing wedding hair. If she ever gets back into it, I highly recommend her.

Hi Rachel, I just looked at your pictures (just the ones that will be in the album). They were FANTASTIC. I did not see a hint of stress or unhappiness. I especially love the close up shot of you and your mom(it was one of the first few shots). At least I know Cassarino quality is up there. Thanks again. Carla

Your wedding at Chateau Briand sounds absolutely beautiful, and it’s great to hear the details came together so well. Having reliable transportation for your guests and yourselves can really make a difference on such a big day, and services like Wood Black Car Service can take a lot of the stress out of logistics. Did you have any last‑minute challenges with timing or travel that you had to work around?
