Who should the invitations be from?

Who should the invitations be from?

My parents are paying for 2/3 of the wedding and we are paying for 1/3. We have been living together for 3 years. Should the invitations say "My parents invite you to the marriage of our daughter..." -OR- "Us two invite you to our marriage..." -OR- "My parents and his parents invite you to their kids wedding..."??? I don't want to insult anyone.

The Harrison House is very nice. My company has had conferences there. The grounds are breathtaking and the food is excellent! They have a very interesting cocktail hour set-up with different rooms featuring differnet food. Also, since it is a hotel, it makes it sooo convenient for your out of town guests. Anyway, I hope this helps a little!

Good Luck,

We're paying for our wedding and I (intially) had no intention on mentioning our parents....but when my dad read the invite, he was clearly upset that he wasn't mentioned. So here's what I did:

Mary Smith daughter of Mr. Joseph Smith and John Brown son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Brown invite you.......

It worked - and everyone was happy!

My parents are paying for the reception and we are paying for everything else, so it works out to be about the same ratio as yours. We are doing it the traditional way and having my parents names at the top. I think they would be really upset otherwise, and since they are paying for the majority, especially the hall, I think its only right.

I booked them for my wedding in May. They came recommended from someone else's wedding. They were fairly reasonable and seem to give you al lot for your money. If I remember, the total price is around 2,000. That it with those really high centerpieces, 11 tables, 5 bm . They were cheaper than the other florist I went to by a considerable amount.
