My photographer works with a video guy. They offer a $1200 video with full editing and baby pics etc. and a $600 'in-camera' video. They still cover all the events but no special effects or baby pics and music, etc.

Im not definitely sure, but I think it means that during off time (when you are having pics taken, etc. he can cut out parts that aren't needed. Most videos are done digitally, so I think its easy to do that.
No pictures, interviews, or any of that. We went with T&T Video Productions in Smithtown. $1000 and it even comes with 3 copies, and they edit it to a watchable length. The owner is Hal and he's great to deal with. Let me know if you want their number; I don't have it with me today.
