Tuxedo Costs

Tuxedo Costs

Hi All! I have a while until we have to go look at tuxes, but I was just wondering for those who had out of town groomsmen, were there other options to use other than Mens Wearhouse?

Also, about how much was everyone quoted for tuxes? I have no idea what to budget for this and I don't want to make the groomsmen pay a ridiculous amount of money for a tux they're going to wear one time. I'm not sure if it's more cost effective to look out for deals and possibly have the groomsmen buy suits/tuxes. This is one topic I am lost on! lol TIA!

Same here! I would love to know what the cost is for this. FH wants to wear a suit, but I am not even sure if you can rent suits! Any information you ladies have would be great!

We are not having a bridal party but FH is going to my.suit in the city to have a suit custom made - great quality and they are cheap. I also know a few friends who went to jos a bank when they had their buy one suit get two free sale. It's always good to have a suit on hand

I spoke to my brother last weekend and for his wedding this past March he rented Tan suits (with vests) from Mens Wearhouse. He had a jacket and the guys didn't they just had the vests (it was a beach wedding - the rental didn't include the shoes either). He said the reason he didn't have the guys wear the jackets was because it would've been over $200.

FH has all OOT groomsmen and I don't want to have them spending $200 to rent a suit for 1 day but it looks like this might be my only option. I was curious to see what other quotes people got from Mens Wearhouse or if they had other ideas for OOT groomsmen.

FH and I went to Foresto's in Mineola. They quoted $210 for the entire outfit (tuxedo, tie, vest, shoes, cuff links) and if we rented 5, then FH's tux was free.

We're going to check out a few more places soon, and I'll post on the quotes we get.

FH was recently in a wedding. He got a Vera wang tux from Mens Warehouse and it came to about $180 without shoes. (They all wore sneakers that they bought separately.) Not sure if that was before or after tax.

Our groomsmen are paying $150 and my FH was free. We are using Lake Shore Formal in Ronkonkoma. We don't have any OOT guests but when we were speaking with him they said they have worked with people who are OOT

We are using black tie in smithtown. It's $189 for everything, but socks and underwear ;) we loved the customer service there. Mark was awesome :)

We're using men's wearhouse. The Vera Wang tuxes came out to $178 including everything (tux, vest, shirt, tie, shoes, socks, suspenders, cuff links, and the little silk pocket tissue thing)

Oh and for every 6 tuxes you rent you get 1 free rental

We are getting ours from Village Bridal in Babylon they are getting tuxes and they come out to be I think $180 and that includes shoes too I believe. Also my fiancé gets his for free. We have one out of town groomsman and they said he should just get measured at a reputable store near him and call in his measurements.

We got the vera wang tuxes, saved a little because we opted out of the vest option. We also went during prom season so we got booked at prom prices!

So did you book your tuxes about a year in advance? Tuxes is the one thing I'm completely lost on I have no idea how far in advance to do this! Lol
