I have a tip list that was given to us from our DOC. This is what we're using as a guide.
This is great! Thanks!!
In regards to owner of th company.. My dj florist and photographer are all owners of the company's but I will be tipping them. I didn't tip for my engagement shoot with the owner though. We paid $500 to add it on and most of that goes right in his pocket.

Tipping Vendors who Own the Company
Now you've got me thinking..what about people like makeup and hair who just set their prices and pretty much pocket all the money (besides paying for the makeup and hair products which is minimal). Should I tip them even though they have no one to pay and chose their prices???

I was wondering the same thing about hair and makeup!? What about tipping for the trial, should you? Part of me feels these people are the owners and it's all cash money they're pocketing but another part thinks how can you not? I will prob end up tipping a bit the day of, but I'm just questioning tipping for the trials? What are/did you guys do?

I didn't tip during my trials. Because I have two separate vendors, it was on different days. So I am just tipping them the day of. It's tricky when you know they're owners but I feel like it's no different when you go to a salon. The owners are sometimes if not usually on staff too. The girl who cuts my hair owns her shop, I still tip her. Then again those prices aren't jacked up the moment you say the word 'bride'. My fiance couldn't believe how expensive some quotes were. It's insane. It's an expensive business so whether they get tips or not they make the money. I just think like anything else it's a service and it's customary to give tips. But I am a firm believer tips are not mandatory they're at the customer discretion and while they should be fair in amount in return the service provided should be just as fair in overall product. I'm in the process of making out my tip envelopes for this weekend.
