Seamstress who deals with Pnina Tornai dresses in Long Island

Hi, I bought a Pnina Tornai dress at Kleinfelds. I bought it on sale so they did not offer alterations. I am a bit nervous because I do not know anyone else who can work on this type of dress on the island. Please if anyone can suggest a great seamstress. Thank you

ahhhhh i love pnina! what dress did you get? :)

My soon-to-be aunt lives in bay ridge, brooklyn (not LI but figured I'd let you know), and has been making and alterating gowns for like 30 years. She made all of my FH's aunt's gowns (there are 6 aunts lol), and did my sister and sister in law's alterations. I would have used her in a heartbeat, but decided not to since I'd feel bad if I wanted something done differently and felt I wouldn't be able to voice my opinion to her openly since she's my FH's family. She's amazing though

I think I am going to using Maria Sgroi ... Look her up she's in Holbrook and has great reviews! I called her the other day she was so sweet

Did you end up using Maria? I am thinking of using her for my wedding dress and am very worried about alterations as my dress is made of lace and I want to make sure it looks. If so can you please share your experience? Thank you!
