Re: Sample invitations

InvitationsByDawn.com sent us free wedding samples (Disney ones were $1). Ultimately we did not use them but I remember it being free.

I just ordered 8 free samples for invites/STD's from Wedding Paper Diva's and 10 free from Minted. Minted has more restrictions than WPD in what you can get for free, but I just wanted to get a feel for their quality. I haven't looked anywhere else yet but I'm sure there are a few vendors with free sample invites.

Minted sends you a tri-fold folder with your samples and samples of envelopes, RSVP cards, different colored paper and all of their paper thickness. I was impressed! Took about 5 days but when I ordered my STD, they were here in 2 days and they also send you a PDF file that you approve before printing.

I found this link that lists a bunch of sites where you can get free samples/sample packs of invitations: http://freebies.about.com/od/weddingfreebies/tp/free-wedding-invitation-samples.htm

I definitely went a little overboard...
