readings
what readings do you have to pick for a Catholic church ceremony not a mass? I remember he said 2 that's it.

I'm doing a mass. I need to pick some too.
The old testament reading is Tobit 8:4b-8 Allow us to live together to a happy old age. Our new testament reading we chose the Corinthians 12:31-13:8a If I do not have love, I gain nothing (love is patient...)
So an old and a new
For both a mass and a ceremony you pick an Old Testament and a New Testament reading. According to the old lady at my church, the difference between mass and ceremony Is a mass has a gospel, homily, consecration, and communion, while a ceremony doesn't. I'm strictly a Christmas-only church-goer and she was annoyed by my question and confusion about what most of those things were lol.
For our New Testament reading we decided on the Romans 12:1-2, 9-18. For the Old Testament we're torn between the Genesis 2:18-24 or Tobit 7:9-10, 11-15. They're both great readings and it's making it that much harder to decide. :(
During the Pre-Cana they said we're usually allowed to pick two readings for the ceremony. I spoke to my priest and he said as long as I'm not running late we could do two readings.
