priests??? what? a blessing?

Here's my experience - I really wanted an outdoor wedding but my priest said absolutely not (I thought that "god's open air" thing applied but apparently it doesn't). He was willing to do it at another site (upon his apporval of course) but it had to be INDOORS. A gazebo didn't count either. He told me that this was the rule all catholic priests had to follow.
