FH & I would like to go away for a romantic weekend but don't know where to go. We're willing to drive up to 4-5 hours. I saw something on groupon for the poconos but I'm wondering if you ladies know of any better places where we can go away & relax?

I may be biased because I live in Rhode Island now, but Newport, RI is an adorable little seaside town for a weekend getaway! This time of year there's usually deals, too!

FH and I actually had a groupon for an awesome bed and breakfast on shelter island. It felt like going away while still staying on long island! Not too much to do there but relax if that's what you're looking to do!

I agree that Newport is FANTASTIC. It's beautiful, lots of good restaurants, and quaint! Montauk too, it's one of my favorite spots. Highly recommend the Harvest restaurant out there :)

I'll endorse newport, FH and I went there last March to look at dogs from a breeder we were interested in and said we really wanted to go back when it was warm enough to walk around!
I want to do a lake house weekend, but probably in summer, I'm thinking lake george?

We love road tripping upstate! Our favorite place to stay is in or near Phoenicia. A few other random places we’ve enjoyed are: Rockport, MA Newport & Jamestown, RI Roxbury, NY - There is an awesome hotel there called the Roxbury that is worth checking out

FH and I just booked a long weekend in Cape Cod in October. It will be so nice to get away and it is gorgeous in the fall!

We just went upstate for the weekend. Poconos is fun in the winter. I love Montauk in the summer. All depends what you're looking to do.
