I am helping my sister scope out non traditional LI venues. She doesn't want a traditional catering hall and we thought about maybe a private room in a restaurant for a fancy/sophisticated sit-down dinner.
Any suggestions on places to check out? She's on a tight budget too, so we're trying not to break the bank.

Non traditional Venues??
We're doing the Bates House in Setauket. It's in Setauket and is a diy place. I know diy can be more expensive but if you are conscious through the planning process you can def keep your costs down.
