My hair is very fine/thin and grows really slowly. I typically wait too long between haircuts (only 1-2x per year), which is probably why it doesn't grow fast. Right now it's just below my collarbone, but I'd like to grow it longer because I plan on an up-do for the wedding in August (and hoping not to do extensions due to cost and heard they can be uncomfortable if too heavy).
Anyway I am finally getting a trim this week, and I typically get layers to help it look a bit fuller. Should I avoid layers this time and just cut one length so that it's easier to put in an up-do?
Also, does anyone feel that biotin really helps for hair growth? Tried it for 1 month and gave up.

Hair Question
I would try some prenatal vitamins- I've been using them for a while and my hair dresser noticed a big difference! It's all good stuff so worth a shot. Also, my hairdresser (who is doing my updo) wants to avoid layers on my thin hair because then it will be very thin in some areas.

Hair Question
I'd say to avoid the layers as well. I have thin hair that also seems to grow back slowly but, my hair dresser insisted that coming in regularly for trims will make it healthier/grow. I have been taking just multivitamins and B12 daily, which I think is helping but I'm thinking of adding the biotin to the routine.
