I am actually taking my pictures on April 25th - were using my grandparents backyard because they have a dock that leads to Jamaica bay and were also going to fort tilden to take shots on a private beach that has creepy forts that have graffiti on them - all local areas to us

Technically, yes. But we didn't and had no problems. My photog has shot there before and hasn't had any problems. And there were at least 2 other wedding parties there too.
We went on a Saturday afternoon.

OMG we took ours at theodore roosevelt memorial park in oyster bay!!! You can have pics on the dock, beach, and park! Best of all 3
