Church fee??

Hey guys!
For those of you who got or are getting married in a church-how much was the 'donation'?
Thank you!

$600 for the church, and I think $250 or $350 for music.

$1005 including the church, cantor, and organist. Then $50 for FOCCUS and $75 for pre cana. But will go up again in September. And I can't pre-pay. So even though I booked my date three price-hikes ago, I have to pay the inflated price. SO aggravating.

Wow...... I had no idea it was so expensive to get married in a church. We are getting married at our venue and I was flipping out about our minimal fee - I guess I should stop complaining!

I was told $700 and that is supposed to cover foccus, pre-cana, Deacon, and music. my question is, do we still'donate' on top of that?

If I remember ours way about 800 that covered music, cantor, the priest and Pre-Cana. We did not donate anything beyond that.

$650 church and paid $150 separately for precana.

I remember my friend who got married over 10 years ago was told the suggested 'donation' was $400 and that was a 'parishoner' discount and she thought THAT was high. I guess people didn't 'donate'. If we use their preferred florist we receive a discount on the flowers ($75 and urn) and then they consider the flowers a donation to the church. It makes my brain hurt, especially since I'm not even having a mass, just the ceremony. lol
