Are there any 'Inn at New Hyde Park' brides??? need help!

Hi all!
I just visited this venue, and immediately fell in love as soon as I walked in. I was sold, but FI was a little hesitant due to the original price quoted.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about asking them to try and lower the price? She did say as we were leaving, if we went into the following month it's more off season, and could get it for MUCH cheaper - but nothing was written down on our paper work at that point since we were walking out.
We are going back and meeting with her on Wednesday so i was just looking for any suggestions! I am in LOVE with the space but we are paying for this ourselves, and any little thing will help. I am also unfamiliar with bargaining.

thanks!

Things that will help you decrease your price per person:

off season, off day of the week, afternoon versus evening, increasing your guarantee

Also, you can tell them what your budget is...and see how low they are willing to go.

Me! I am getting married there next September. Which month were you looking into? They were extremely difficult in lowering anything.

I went there to see the space and omg i fell in love.... that tuscany cocktail hour space is to die for - me and my FH are also paying for our wedding all on our own and our quote from them was much higher than i had hoped - i asked him if pricing is negotiable and he assured me that all pricing is in fact negotiable however we didnt actually start negotiating at that meeting. I have a feeling it will be more like 'well throw in Viennese for you at that price' rather than them coming down on the price pp. Can you FM me your quote from them?

The only way I got my price lowered with them was that I increased my minimum. I am getting married one of the busiest weekends so they were not really flexible with anything else. Oh and they are giving us cookies as well haha. I also signed up when a promotion was going on so I am getting back a credit of 10% to use towards upgrades.
