Afternoon wedding 12-5

Does anyone have any experience with weddings from 12-5PM. Bride loves the Watermill but is there enough time to get hair, makeup and dressed to be at the Venue at 10:30 AM for pictures.

Is she having a large bridal party? My hair/make-up came to the hotel down the block at 6am and we were at the Watermill for first look by 9am for pictures but it was only my mom and I getting ready.

Maid of honor and me.watermill said 10.30 for pictures. Did you take pictures at hotel? What hotel is down the block? Thank you.

We did not take pictures at the hotel - only at the Watermill. We had an 11:30am ceremony and asked guests to arrive at 11am so we started pictures at 9:00am and we were done by 10:30am.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Long Island

I had a large wedding party, it was 10 of us and we started at 830 and were done by 1130 with hair and makeup. The time was recommended by the vendors. I took their advice as they know how much they will need. I used Angela's Hair Design and Glam Me Up NY - excellent vendors, punctual, fast-paced and a pleasure to work with. These ladies have done parties for day weddings and had their brides and bridal party done with plenty of time.

My sister had an afternoon wedding and we had to be up EARLY for all the bridesmaids to be ready for the church. It was tough at first, but it was fine once we were up and going! I would say we got up at 5:30 for the 11:30 church.
