I am very close to deciding on a venue on LI, but before doing so I wanted to ask you whether you guys will have/had an after party after your reception? If yes, where/how/until when etc...

We're not. Our reception ends at midnight.. the hotel bar next door stays open until 2AM if guests want to continue the party. I'll be in bed lol

We are. We are blocking off rooms at a hotel for guests who don't want to drive back. (my reception is in Suffolk, and most of our family and friends live in Queens and Brooklyn). We will keep the hotel bar open late for whoever wants to stick around and keep the party going. (Our reception ends at 11:30 so figured it was still kind of early.)

Our wedding ends at 1A, we will most likely be extending the bar to stay open (it closes at 2) and the inn is on site

My reception ends at midnight. They asked us if we wanted an after party and I said no. I'll be exhausted and we want to leave for our honeymoon the next day.
