My husband and I made the best decision hiring the J.K. band to perform at our wedding. The band had our guests up on the dance floor from before we even entered the room to the last song. The band was so talented, professional, engaging, and the life of the party. Music was playing straight for the entire night, even during dinner. Even though the expense of a band is more than a DJ, the J.K. band really proved their value throughout the night. Joel was really flexible with songs we definitely wanted played during the night and even learned a few songs with the band for us, which was so greatly appreciated. Our guests are still talking about how wonderful the J.K. band was. We could not have made a better choice!

We searched high and low for a band that fit our style of music and would appease our live-music-loving wedding guests - when we heard JK Band sing the first note "I Want To Dance With Somebody" in their demo, we knew the search was over. What voices, what incredible talent! They were responsive to calls and emails from the beginning, the band leader Joel was so accommodating to our requests throughout the process, and the day of the event, they really brought the party! They kept things going for the entire party with amazing energy - and those jazz horns during the main course... WOW! We have a very picky group of friends and family when it comes to music so it really says something that every one of our guests made a comment about how amazing this band was. There was even an "encore" chant! The music makes the wedding, and I want to thank Joel and JK from the bottom of my heart for making my wedding so incredible.

Hiring the JK band was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We had been to a lot of other New York area weddings and knew the importance of a good band, so we didn't take the decision lightly. With that said, on the night of the event, we were able to hand the mic to Joel, sit back and just enjoy the whole show. They help create such an awesome energy in the room and keep everything running smoothly. Everyone was up and dancing most of the wedding and we had so many people come up to to tell us how great they thought the band was. At one point towards the end of the evening, to no fault of the bands, their power source was momentarily lost. The drums and the horns kept the show going so well for the 5 minutes while the situation was resolved, almost nobody even knew there was an issue. Even in follow-up since, several people have commented on how good they were and some have already referred to others looking. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding band to stop their search with Joel and the JK Band. Amazing value for what you get - go with a 10-piece as the horns are a great addition.

They were AMAZING! Had the party up and going all night and did not stop playing!!! They did not do any of the cheesy stuff (but would if requested)

If you want non-stop, dance till you drop music....you MUST get Joel and the JK Band for your wedding/special event. Their attention to detail for personalizing music for my daughter's wedding at East Wind in May 2009 was unbelievable. He has the most fantastic singers, sax players, drummers, etc. that every guest who attended wanted to know how I discovered such a hot band. You will NOT be disappointed by hiring them....your only regret....sore feet the next day!!! BUT SOOOO WORTH IT.
