Sharkskin and Bowties...Oh my! The latest in Groom Attire

November 24, 2014

I just have to share with you what stopped me in my tracks at the Jericho Terrace show. Tuxedo Park had some very sharp dinner jacket ensembles that I hadn’t seen before. I had to take a closer look. Tuxedo Park03 Speaking with Rich, I found out that these are a brand new offering at Tuxedo Park, created by their skilled tailors using Sharkskin fabric. I had no idea what that was, so I did some digging. High quality Sharkskin fabric has an elegant sheen and texture and can be composed of different fibers uniquely weaved together forming a two-toned woven appearance. It was named Sharkskin because the appearance was recognized as similar to that of a common shark. Tuxedo Park supplied us with a better look: wynn blue & greyenzo-1 plum They described them for us: These are the latest in formal wear in Slim fit matching waist coat, complimented by a black silk bowtie. Updated Classic one button satin lapel dinner jacket, available in grey, blue, as well as plum. I am loving the look of these!! Can you say SWOON?? <3 Bow ties were also prominently featured in the display. If you decide that neck ties just don’t fit in with your wedding vision, bow ties may fit the bill. They are back in style and make quite an impression. Tuxedo Park offers a wide variety of styles and colors in self-tie, pre-tied and clip-on. I do have to say, seeing the self-ties in person, they definitely add sophistication and style to the whole outfit. Tuxedo Park01 If you are a bride who wants something different, polished, sharp and fashion forward for your groom, or if he wants to really stand out, a shark skin jacket could be just what you’re looking for to add a special touch to your wedding day. Bow ties can add some personality and fun. If you are interested in these styles, go check them out at one of the two Tuxedo Park locations. If you really like them in the pics, you will LOVE them in person!
