A warm welcome and congratulations to Suzanne McCarthy and Domingos Magalhaes on their recent engagement. An extended congratulations to their respective families, as well; Stephanie and Daniel McCarthy; Maria and Jose Magalhaes. Suzanne, an office manager, and Domingos, a construction worker, were engaged on August 24, 2013 at Atlantic City, NJ. 'He was holding onto the ring for a while, trying to find the perfect place to propose. He was throwing around all kinds of ideas, but figured that since he asked me out on the beach in 2005, he wanted to ask me to marry him at the beach. We were walking along the boardwalk when we came to an area that overlooks the entire beach. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day without a cloud in the sky. My girlfriends and I were overlooking the beach from a section off of the boardwalk, and we wanted to take a picture of us looking at the water. He then called my name and when I turned around, he was on one knee, and I was speechless. We got engaged with our closest friends around us, and I wouldn't have changed it for anything.' The happy couple is looking forward to their November 22, 2014 Long Island wedding.
