A warm welcome and congratulations to Alyssa and Robert, and an extended congratulations to their respective families; Nancy and Frank; and Brenda. Alyssa, a corporate events manager, and Robert, in USAF security forces, both from Riverhead, were engaged on January 1, 2013 at a New Year's Eve party. 'We had talked about getting engaged, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to get married again, which was very disappointing to me. He was dropping hints, but I never thought it would actually happen. On New Year's Eve, we went to a party at a family friend's house after both of us got out of work. Right after the ball dropped and we had our New Year's kiss, he dropped down on one knee, in front of everyone, and asked me to marry him.' The happy couple is excitedly looking forward to their October 12, 2014 nuptials at the Estate at East Wind.
