Long Island Engagement Announcements

We would like to welcome and congratulate Cristina Monaco and Joe Sinacori. Cristina, from Smithtown, and Joe, from Massapequa, both physician assistants, were engaged on November 24, 2012 at Hendricks Tavern. 'It all started about a week and a half before the engagement when Joe told me he made dinner reservations for November 24th at a new restaurant that we both wanted to try. I thought it was odd because we usually would make reservations a few days before, but Joe said he wanted to make sure it wasn't booked. The morning of November 24th was like any other Saturday morning. We ran errands together and after came home to have lunch. Joe told me to pack clothes for the night; he ended up surprising me and made reservations at The Glen Cove Mansion for the night. Before we went to the mansion we had lunch at Asian Moon in Massapequa where we went for our 1 month anniversary. Then we drove to the mansion situated on the North Shore, checked in, had a few drinks and got ready for dinner. When we got to the restaurant our table was ready even though the place was packed. After our dinner order was placed he took out a beautiful gold photo album wrapped in a gold bow and told me to open it. As soon as I opened it i started crying; it was every special moment we have shared together. Dinner receipts, first movie tickets, first Yankee tickets, pictures -- so thoughtful and romantic. The last page was his proposal; he looked me in the eye and asked me to marry him. Everyone around us clapped as he put the gorgeous pear shaped engagement ring on my finger. We spent Sunday with our families with a champagne toast followed by a big Italian dinner. Let the wedding planning begin!' The happy couple is excitedly looking forward to their May 9, 2014 Long Island wedding.
