Most people my want their wedding to be “traditional” but most would also want their big day to be uniquely different. So, while you’ll want to think both inside and outside the nuptial box. Here are just some ideas to help you make a statement all your own. Be True To YOU: Think about what makes you tick then work with your planner or designer to custom craft your big day to YOUR special love story and YOUR individual and combined personalities. But Your Signature On Your Celebration: Start with signature cocktails and perhaps a few unique signature dishes. You may want to fashion a menu with some flavorful cultural culinary creations outlining both sides of your respective backgrounds and heritage….or you may want to do something like childhood favorites. Another option…ask about a  Master Mixologist you can come up with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for your bar. Opt for outstanding entertainment: They may forget lots of the details one the big day is over…but it’s likely the two things guests WILL remember are food and fun. With that said, think about WOWing family and friends with eclectic entertainment. From bagpipers at the front door to a calypso band during an outdoor cocktail hour or maybe even a Gospel Choir singing at your ceremony….it’s all about standing out and making a lasting impression. Creative Keepsakes: You can place one on every table or in each “goodie bag” for guests. We’re talking about a wedding yearbook profiling, you, your betrothed and the members of your wedding party and respective families. The magazine-style book can highlight details about both of you including everything from where you grew up to how your met and even how you decided on the theme of your celebration. Once again, it’s all about keeping guests interested, occupied and entertained. Integrative Wedding Party: Who says your wedding party has to be made up of only your besties? In fact, modern soon-to-be weds are mixing and matching members of their wedding party to include both young and “old”…male and female and inviting ALL those closest to them to not only attend but be involved in the big day.
