It was once said that “Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend”. Well, fast forward a few decades and that sentiment seems to have changed. In fact, the new trend, quickly becoming tradition is less bling…more sentimental ring.
But that doesn’t mean that couples are spending less on wedding day baubles. Instead they are putting the money on special etchings and other meaningful accents that enhance their one-of-a-kind creations.
Couples are opting out of the standard solitaire and getting creative….even if it means fewer karats. In fact, many soon to be marrieds are taking a less is more approach and designing their own rings using their engagement rings and wedding bands as an expression of their unique love, relationship and tastes. And, with a little help from social media sites couples can peruse designs and jewelers who can make their eclectic visions a wedding day reality.
Antique art deco rings and bedazzling colorful baubles are also all the rage these days. And, that means lots of brides to be are also looking for gowns that forego tradition and are a bit avant-garde as well.
