My husband and I just signed the contract for our new home. We are so excited!!!! We got married 4 months ago and all summer we've been in search of the perfect house. This has been such a great year for us. Starting with our wedding, to our little boy has starting Kindergarten.... We are so grateful for all of our amazing blessings. Be very careful with your mail. You will start to get a CRAP load of 'junk' mail advertising everything from lawn service to maids.
You MUST be careful about ANY mail that looks like its about property tax help or STAR exemption. The people who send out the mail do it in a way that makes it look VERY official from the state/Naussau/Suffolk. If you sign and return they then charge you a years worth of the savings for something you can do yourself.
Make SURE you tell DH about this. Don't fill in and return ANY paperwork that is about STAR exemption or property tax exemption. Its almost always 100% scam.
(Ok, not scam, but very borderline scam).
