Is it wrong for not wanting to go to a wedding for my husbands friend because I dont like his fiance? (back story below)
This girl is the whiniest ***** her fh is actually her ex-best friends husband whos she slept with while they were married. Right after we got engaged I throw a fishing trip for my dh and best friend birthday and she begged her bf at the time to get engaged, which she also did my engagement party and at my wedding when I asked if she was having a good time (at which point she had gotten engaged) instead of yes/ no she tells me she bought a house. Prior to my engagement she said she only want to get married because she should have kids by now and he is only marrying her because where else is she going and there is always divorce oh yea and he is also cheating on her and he tried at my wedding to. Personally their life is not my problem but they rub me the wrong way and I dont want to be mean to someone on their wedding.

sounds like you have a lot of history with this chick
if its not a really good friend of DH's, then make an excuse. i'd say it's really up to him though

Personally I would never want to go be a witness to a wedding that I thought was doomed from the beginning. I feel like you are there to witness something sacred and beautiful, and just knowing that he is cheating and she is already planning a divorce would not fly with me. I would make any excuse not to go, but thats just me.

unless it was my husands really good friend, I'd probably opt out
like the others said, why go to something that you don't support? if its hubbys good friend and he insists on going then i guess you have to go to support him
what does dh say?

my husband said I should go and be nice but personally I just cant. I am also starting to question what my husband really thinks of marriage since he thinks this a appropriate behavior for two people are are going to get married. I just cant go along with this. Its like standing there while an addict shoots up and saying its fine would you like another needle.

I wouldn't go. Is your husband very good friends with the guy? If he is, then it's going to be tough to get out of. What would be a good excuse to get out of something like this? Plan a trip and say you forgot it was the same weekend???
