My dh bought a ATV 2 months ago and paid $2,500 for it and come to find out it was stolen!! Detectives were here 2 weeks ago to notify us.... He bought it on craigslist.. Now we are trying to get our money back.

It was stolen from a mechanic place on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.. DH bought it off craigslist knowing something was wrong with it.. But DH should have know something was up because the guy did not have a title but dh bought it anyway.. The next day he bought it to the same mechanic that it was stolen from and they notified the police, next thing we know detectives were at my home and dh had to print out all the convo that had gone on between the sale... now we are trying to get the money back, which the detectives said the mom will pay us back but they have to go to court first..
