Re: Anyone been to London
the V&A museum is wonderful (Victoria & Albert)
There are also a ton of great bus day-trips. The Jack the Ripper trip was fabulous - there are companies who do this sort of thing and have kiosks all over the airport and in major city touristy areas
Portabello road is always fun to walk down - all the funky shops and outdoor markets (even in winter)
Harrods and Harvey Nichols are great department stores (Harrods is more quinticentially London,k IMHO)
The Freud museum was a hit with our group a while back.
High Tea at Marks and Spencer (or anywhere else for that matter) is a must!!
Have FUN!!

Re: Anyone been to London
if you like theater and detective stories and have a strong heart I really recommend a play 'The Woman in Black'. It's playing in a small theater by Covent Gardens called Fortune Theatr. I absolutelly loved it! It's scarry, but very very interesting!

Shamma,
I forgot too that the person I went to Paris with spoke French and it made traveling/ordering much easier. The French are nicer when they understand you.
I went to London in June and it rained everyday and it gets very chilly. Dress warmly.
Edited to say: I'm all about food. Please eat some dessert in Paris!!!
