It’s time to let go of your “social anxiety” and indulge in the power of social media for your big day. Let’s face it…social media has become so mainstream that it’s infiltrated the wedding industry. Creating a cleaver hashtag has become a great way to manage all the memories of your special celebration that you want to share with family and friends. Start by putting your heads or names together and look at all the interesting possibilities it can create. For instance if his name is Craig and your name is Stacey…you could choose #craceyinlove Keep in mind that your hashtag should be meaningful to you and your guests but should also be fun, whimsical, original, meaningful, memorable and reflective of your personalities. Don’t fall in love with your hashtag prematurely. Before officially saying “I DO” (to your hashtag)…do an online search and see what comes up. If there are tons of other photos and events that pop up you may want to consider revising.     Once you’re sure your hashtag is “the one” for you make it official by putting it on your wedding website and your stationary preferably on a mini insert card but not on the invite itself.
